Valentine's Day

So Valentine's Day is around the corner and just like every other year I'll be one of the ones that don't receive flowers or chocolates. My husband doesn't celebrate this holiday which leaves me out in the cold. In the past I've never had a boyfriend on this holiday either so for my entire life thus far I've been alone. It was cool at first because a lot of my friends were still single so we would all wear black and boo hoo together but now they are all married. I guess what I'm trying to say in I feel sorry for myself and I just want some friggin flowers this year!

Lost

Ok so I haven't posted in a while thanks to Cake Wrecks. I have been going through all the past blogs because they are just too funny. I actually found a cake that Emma wants for her graduation party because every Sunday a good cake is featured. Score. It's Hello Kitty of course and now I just need to find someone who can make it exactly as shown and not turn it into a wreck.
Jack is finally over his teething fever! I am so happy, fevers really makeme nervous. I never really know how to handle them so I just do the little things and keep an eye on it. I'll be happy when he's done teething.

Promotion

My husband got promoted recently to Branch Manager, yay! I am super excited but a little sad at the same time. He has been leaving before anyone in the house is up and coming home after dinner. I realize that he has a lot more to do now and the place went without a manager for 6 months so there is a lot of clean up to do but i miss him. I need to suck that up and just be a happy supportive wife. I just wish it came a little more naturally. He doesn't even call me during the day anymore. Am I totally dumb or what?!

Jack's first word??

My son is a little behind the curve on his baby words. Most of the time he just spits but today he said goo goo! Then it sounded like google which of course meant he wanted me to update my blog spot! I was getting a little worried about him but now i'm happy to say my son has learned the art of baby talk. I can't wait to hear him say Mama for the first time :)

I hate mechanics

I went to the mechanics today since my brakes were well past the i need changing point. Of course i get a list back from them letting me know that i also need ten more things fixed that i had no idea of and it will only cost me two grand for both parts and labor. Yeah cause it's so easy to drop two grand at anytime now a days. grrr. do i wait a little longer and risk having to "replace my engine" as the mechs say? because of course that's what will happen. they quoted me 200- 500 for my brakes and they would be done by noon. So you can imagine my surprise when i got a call at THREE letting me know my car was finally ready for the low unquoted price of SIX hundred. i swear i'm going to mechs school, i could use the dishonest money i would steal from unsuspecting women with 3 kids.

My steppies

My step daughters just got home from a weekend visit with their mom and I realize that I missed them so much. They are so well mannered and sweet. It's really hard to type with my long ass nails right now so if there are errors I apologize (Linds). For some reason my son was a naughty boy today. He wanted me to hold him a lot too. I think he might just be teething. I found out earlier that I cam go to Lindsays SB party after all and I's super excited to be watching the Cards fight it out! SAWEEETAH!

Ok, I'm going to give the blog thing a try. . .

I'm a stay at home mom and my day consists of watching my adorable little boy and two beautiful step daughters. It's not a job, it's life and I love every minute of it.
